The other day Tanner and I spent the evening at the Beach with my friend Jamie. He played so hard with a bunch of big boys. He shoveled sand and while doing so, put tons of sand down his back and diaper. Finally, it was time to go home. He was asleep in his car seat before we had even left the parking lot.
When we pulled into the garage, Kipp came out to see us. As he pulled Tanner out he didn't move. He was sooo tired. I had to take their picture because I love the way Tanner is just draped over his daddy. Kipp and I had a conversation about skipping a bath, but there was no way, he brought the beach home with him.
He woke up as we started taking his clothes off. After he had been dead asleep he woke up to play in the bath.Side note: Check out Mr. Mustache
Finally clean and ready to go to sleep after a great day.

Gymboree Is More Than A Store...
Tanner is a boy who loves to climb and have fun. Kipp and I were able to take him to a Gymboree class. He was able to climb, climb through tunnels, and play with beanbags. I thought it would be like going and playing at a park, but it was so much better. Unlike parks where most parents sit while their kids play, at Gymboree all of the parents we excited to be there. All parents and kids where playing together and encouraging each other. Tanner and the rest of the kids had name tags on. We would hear the other parents saying, "Good job Tanner." We were all friends by the end of the hour. Tanner loved it and Kipp and I were smiling from ear to ear.
Here are a few of the games that T played...Push the bean bag through the hole.
Walk on the parachute as the parents shake it up.
Push the big tube. TEAMWORK!!
Climb on the tube, with a little help from mom!
Tunnel time.
We won a free month of classes that we are going to use this summer when I'm not teaching. Tanner had such a good time and I can't wait to take him back for more fun.

Little Skater Boy
Sarah took a break from the old blog, so I decided that I would take a shot at it. The other day I thought that it would be a great idea to take Tanner for a ride on my skateboard. Well, it turns out he LOVES it. What have I done? If he is anything like me, he is going to start wrecking himself on this thing in a couple of years. I think my next gift to him will be a helmet and some pads; I mean it is the least I can do for introducing him to this curse on four wheels.Look at the smile on his face. He is so happy playing on the skateboard. If you do not believe me, click on the video below and see the joy in this little boys face. I have created a monster!!
He has no fear, and truly enjoys riding his board.

Tanner and Carson in the backyard.
Tanner misses Carson everyday and they had so much fun together.
It was a beautiful day and the boys look so cute with their rash guards on.
If these boys get any bigger we may need a bigger pool!

Easter Pictures
Jafta got to dye easter eggs after church on easter Sunday. I know it was a few weeks ago, but we have been pretty busy. Jafta took his shirt off so it wouldn't get dirty.
Grandpa and Tanner hunting for eggs in the Grandparents backyard.
Tanner tasting his plastic egg. He looks so cute in a hand me down shirt from Jafta!
Tanner got these cool glasses in his basket!
Tanner and India are looking at all of their colored eggs. India loved walking around and putting the eggs in her basket. We had a wonderful day with the Howerton Family. Happy Spring everyone!

Let Me Tell You 'Bout My Best Friends
Somethings change...
Somethings say the same.
We have been so blessed with amazing friends. Kipp and I started college in the fall of 1996 and we met some great friends. 12 years later we are still close and now we are raising a new batch of Best Friends.
Kipp and the boys went to Vegas for March Madness and we had a little Madness of our own at our house with all the moms and kid!
We spent a day at Disneyland. We got to meet JJ's super cute girlfriend Rachel and the little girl that she nanny's for named Lucy. All together we had 7 kids and at one point there were 19 of us all! With all those people you might think it would be too much, but it wasn't! It was perfect! It was one of those days when you know while it was happening that you would remember it forever.
The kids in Toon Town!
Tanner, Carson, Lexi, Haley, Kenadee and Carlee
Best Friends Forever Tanner Michael and Carson Michael in matching PJ's.
These boys had so much fun together the last week.
Carson would wake up saying, "Tanner awake?"
They truly love each other and I am so glad!

2 Days, 2 Parks, 2 Much fun
Kipp had a few days off of work last week and we had great family time. We went to Disneyland one day and then Kipp and Tanner had a Daddy Date at Sea World.
This is the other dwarf, Cutie Pie!
Tanner, with his Mickey jacket on, was a little scared of the big mouse. We are just getting warmed up for next week when we get to do Disney with our Tompkins, Wooldridges, and Templetons friends! We can't wait.

Happy Easter
Hoppy Easter everyone! This is Tanner's first time visiting the Easter Bunny! He did great! He just ate his little plastic egg and didn't even notice that a huge furry bunny was holding him.
Look at all of those eggs. I will be honest, Kipp and I put most of them in his basket ourselves. He will get better over the years!
Tanner who is walking all over the place, just found his tongue this week. He was sticking it out and licking his lips all day.
Happy Easter!
Happy Spring!
May your basket overflow with love and eggs!!!

Surf's Up Dudes!!
There is nothing like Trail 1 on a good, and this was nothing like trail 1 on a good day! Daddy took Tanner out to catch some waves. This was Tan's first time on a board that was in the water. He did great for a while, then a big wave came and scared him a little bit. What great surfer hasn't been scared a time or two?
We played in the sand with some new sand toys. He is also wearing a new rash guard and board shorts, thanks G & G Lyons!
The key to sun protection is to bring 2 hats. When he starts to play he forgets one is on for a while, then bang, GET THIS OFF ME! So then I stick a new one on.
A birthday gift from Kipp and I was this cool beach tent. Tanner loves to crawl in and out of it.
Our Baby is 1!!!
Our little man is 1 year old. I can't believe it. This last week Kipp and I have talked about our life before Tanner came into turn it upside down. Hands down this last year has been the best of our lives! Being parents to this little guy is such an amazing gift. With that being said I wanted to make his first birthday super special!
His party had a St. Patrick's Day theme and all of his friends wore green. I made the shamrock cake and the green cupcakes.
Tanner and all of his little friends. His best friend Landon and Landon's sister Halle, cousins India and Jafta, Haley and Lexi, and my friend Elise's boys Ben and Caden.
Not pictured above Tanner's girl, Emily Johnson. They go to the same babysitter and get to have a play-date once or twice a week with Linda. Hats of to Emily. He took his hat off and tried to share it with Em. That was after he tried to step on her. Emily was wearing a one-z that Tanner wore last St. Patrick's Day! What a difference a year makes.
What a proud momma and poppa! We had a great day and that party was so much fun! We'll have to do it again next year.
One week until St. Patrick's Day! Happy March!!
We are so lucky, so we are told
To have a son more precious than GOLD!!
